MISSOULA, MT, September 3, 2008 –  Similar to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing last month, where gifted athletes from around the world gathered to demonstrate their skills, real estate professionals gathered virtually on Inman News to identify leaders in real estate innovation.  A magnitude of nominees ranged in specialized services from franchised brokerages to online listing services to connecting buyers and sellers via text message marketing.  The results of this competition ended in 8 finalists who were voted for the Gold, Silver and Bronze Real Estate Pacesetter 2008 award.  Criteria for the nominees were harsh, which helped mobile advertising and lead generation provider, Goomzee.com, surface to the top 8 of over 40 registrants, ultimately landing just short of the Bronze. Today my colleagues and I took our first trip to the new Hooters that opened just last week (the first Hooters in Montana!). While there we were talking to our lovely waitress and making conversation asked where we worked. On Monday, we hired a new member for our sales team. This gave him the chance to give his first live spiel about Goomzee and what we do. HE DID SO GREAT!

As Lon explained, “we provide the ability for consumers (house hunters, renters, etc.) to send a text message to learn more information about a property. Basically, if she drove by a house for sale or rent, saw a Goomzee sign and sent a text message containing that property ID code, she would receive a text back with information about the house.”
